Although Im sure some will say there are more concerns than just these and others will say I am just nitpicking at a team that does not have many weaknesses but here it goes...

5. Can Jorge Posada hold up thru a 162 game season and possibly/hopefully a playoff run without becoming injured or burnt out?

Posada, who in the past has never had many problems with injuries in his career, is coming off a season in which he played in only 51 games. His precense alone in the clubhouse and behind the plate is his most important value to the team. At this point in his career it doesnt really matter what he hits as long as he can throw out baserunners at a clip above the MLB average and control this talented pitching staff. If he is hurt or just burns out this puts the Yanks in a tough spot. Posada along with Jeter and MO are the heart and soul of this team.

4. Will Joba's body hold up thru the season?

Chamberlain has never pitched a full major league season as a starter. In his life he has never pitched close to 200 innings. As of now he is locked in as the #4 or 5 starter and can expect to exceed his career high by early August. The reason I am so concerned is because of the style of pitcher he is. Joba is the prototypical power pitcher who needs his power to be effective on the mound. If that starts to dwindle he may try to overcompensate and injure himself or just simply become ineffective. Either way that would not be good for Yanks.

3. Will Robinson Cano ever return to his 06 form?

In 06 Cano was widely considered the Yankees best pure hitter. I believe Don Mattingly said he had the ability to win the batting title multiple times. We are a long way from that season. Last year Cano struggled mightily out of the gates but came on strong hitting over .300 after All Star Break. We know that he is at best an average fielder and baserunner so it is even more important that he is consistent from game 1-162 and gives this team the offense we know he can provide. Also it wouldn't kill him to take a pitch or 2 every now and again.

2. How will the Bullpen shake out?

We know who gets the Rock in the 9th. But what about innings 6-8? Relievers are so hard to predict and typically there ERA's fluctuate big time from season to season. Two of these guys need to step up... Bruney, Marte,Veras,Ramirez, Robertson, and Coke. If that happens then Cashman can fill the other voids at the trade deadline. Also dont be surprised if some fresh young arms from the minors get a shot at some point if the bullpen struggles.

1. What kind of team chemistry will the Bronx Bombers have? And Will the A-ROID saga drain the Team?

I thought the Arod story would cool off after his press conference. That seems to be the exact opposite of what happened. Anytime you play in New York every player on the roster is under a microscope but now more than ever. If Arod or any of the new big time FA acquisitions struggle early the media coverage will just keep increasing. It will be interesting to see how the team reacts and If this actually brings them closer together or tears them apart. The Yankee teams of the 90's had tremendous team chemistry, and to get back to where we belong we will again need that sort of chemistry in our clubhouse.
