I've got jeans on, my windows are closed and I'm watching regular-season NFL football. Fall is here, and I'm pretty pumped. So pumped, in fact, that over the past two days, I went through the entire NFL season schedule and picked a winner for every game. That's the only way I know to get a completely accurate predicition of the season. Here's what I ended up with:

AFC

1. Patriots - 15-1

2. Steelers - 14-2

3. Colts - 13-3

4. Chargers - 13-3

5. Texans - 13-3

6. Titans - 10-6

7. Ravens - 9-7

8. Broncos - 6-10

9. Dolphins - 6-10

10. Jaguars - 6-10

11. Bills - 5-11

12. Chiefs - 5-11

13. Jets - 4-12

14. Bengals - 3-13

15. Raiders - 3-13

16. Browns - 2-14

NFC

1. Vikings - 13-3

2. Falcons - 13-3

3. Eagles - 11-5

4. Seahawks - 10-6

5. Packers - 11-5

6. Cowboys - 10-6

7. Redskins - 10-6

8. Saints - 9-7

9. Giants - 8-8

10. Bears - 8-8

11. Cardinals - 7-9

12. Panthers - 7-9

13. 49ers - 4-12

14. Lions - 3-13

15. Rams - 3-13

16. Bucs - 3-13

Playoffs - AFC - Byes: 1. Patriots, 2. Steelers. Wild Card round: Colts (3) over Titans (6), Texans (5) over Chargers (4). Divisional round: Patriots (1) over Texans (5), Colts (3) over Steelers (2). Conference championship: Patriots (1) over Colts (3). NFC - Byes: 1. Vikings, 2. Falcons. Wild Card round: Eagles (3) over Cowboys (6), Seahawks (4) over Packers (5). Divisional round: Vikings (1) over Seahawks (4), Falcons (2) over Eagles (3). Conference championship: Vikings (1) over Falcons (2).

Super Bowl - Patriots over Vikings

So, in summary, I had seven teams with 13 wins or so. Even I thought it was a little high, but that's how the schedule shakes out for me. For a league that thrives on parity, this year looks like it has some clearly dominant teams and some clearly terrible teams. I'm very high on the Texans this season. I think they are primed for a breakout season. I also think my Seahawks will bounce back. The Falcons are legitimate in the NFC. I'll probably end up being WAY off on these, but oh well. Now, on to my game picks for the first week. I'll make my picks every week and keep my season record. Feel free to post your picks in the comments section.

Week One picks (these are winners, not the spreads)

Steelers over Titans - This game is actually deep in the fourth quarter now, but Pittsburgh's been my pick.

Falcons over Dolphins - Matt Ryan torches Miami in this one.

Broncos over Bengals - Upset pick of the week here. Denver knocks off the home favorite.

Vikings over Browns - Start of a long, long year for Cleveland.

Colts over Jaguars - All Colts in this one. Not liking the Jags too much this year.

Saints over Lions - Saints win, but not as big a blowout as everyone seems to think.

Cowboys over Bucs - This one, however, could get very ugly.

Panthers over Eagles - I think Philly will have a better year, but I like Carolina here in a mini-upset.

Ravens over Chiefs - Ravens are just too strong defensively for young, banged-up Chiefs.

Texans over Jets - Start of the breakout season for Houston.

Giants over Redskins - This one will be a tight NFC East battle.

Cardinals over 49ers - San Francisco looks terrible to me. Arizona wins this easily.

Seahawks over Rams - Seattle hasn't lost to St. Louis in years. Expect that to continue.

Packers over Bears - Green Bay wins this ... but just barely.

Patriots over Bills - Blowout number one on Monday night.

Chargers over Raiders - Blowout number two on Monday night.
