I wanted to say congrats to Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm for taking the Arizona Cardinals to the NFC champianship game.  They have taken one of the softest teams in the NFL and added Steeler grit and poof they are a Superbowl contender.

Whisenhunt and Grimm did well for the Steelers and are doing well for the Cardinals. Congrats and my best wishes this week. The Cardinals will need it against one of the toughest teams in the League in the Eagles.

Four tough teams and it will be interesting how things will play out. Here are my predictions.

Eagles over Cardinals 20-17

Steelers over Ravens 13-10

This would leave a Pennsylvania Superbowl which would be a dream come true. If this happens I am headed to Tampa boys and girls.

Whisenhunt & Grimm walked into that locker room with SB rings that they had just earned recently. The Cardinal players were smart enough to know that they knew how to get them where they wanted to be, all they had to do was listen and embrace what they were told. They will be contenders for a long time to come,

I think the Cards are going to pull it out. They aren't traveling to the East Coast and the Eagles have had some stinkers away from home. I am looking forward to a Steelers vs, .Cardinals Super Bowl. The subplot of the guy(s) (since Grimm is in Arizona too) who Piitsburgh passed over as coach makes it quite interesting.

And btw, when I think of Kurt Warner, I do not and never will think "grit."

Justin Brindger is one of the 10 Pittsburgh Pirates fans that still exist. He tortures himself every morning by reading about what stage of the 20 year rebuilding plan the Pirates are currently in. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA but lived in Williamsport, PA for most of his life and almost caught a home run ball from Sean Burroughs of Long Beach, CA during the 1992 Little League World Series. He went to Ithaca College in NY and yes, the Gorges are awesome. He started his business career trading baseball cards at the Dixie Baseball Card Shop, and thought he made some great decisions with Barry Bonds rookie cards only to find out 20 years later that the dude was on roids and the cards were not going to pay for his fiancée's engagement ring after all.
