I wrote earlier about how I was excited about the OSU Mizzou game.
I was not disappointed. It was a great game with big plays on both sides by the offenses and defenses. As the fourth quarter came to a close, I resigned myself to be proud of the Cowboys no matter what the outcome because it was a well executed, well played game on both sides. When the final whistle blew I didn't have to console myself because the good guys (or at least MY good guys) won.
I'm a little confused about the clock management at the end. OSU got the ball on a turnover with a little under two minutes to play. With the lead they knelt on the ball. By the time 4th down came around there were still ten seconds on the clock. It worked out because the dumbass on Mizzou thought he could score on the runback rather than fair catching the ball and giving the Heisman candidate the chance to win the game.
It worked out, but it worried me. This team looke elite, but when you have the third best rushing team in the league and you need to kill ten seconds can't you let your RBs run out the clock rather than letting a QB kneel look questionable? It worked out, but lets how we never see that situation again. But who cares.
RIDE'EM COWBOYS!
