Topic: Walking just as good for your health as running?
Hello guys and whoever else.
I was doing a bit of reading up on walking today and how research has pointed out that walking may be just as good for you as running? Does anyone got any thoughts on this?However what i was reading said that if you choose to do walking you must do it for longer than running to get all the health benefits from it...
There was actually a US study of about 50 000 people of all different ages genders and fitness levels that showed that walking can be as effective as running for reducing cholesterol and instances of heat disease as well. which compared and analyzed data from runner and people who walked a lot.
This is good news to those who either don't have the time (or will power) to exercise or find running to tiresome as all they have to do is be on their feet more often as walking is part of all our day to day lives.
